Li River Cruise

Li River is a pearl of Chinese beautiful lands. It is also the essence of Guilin's landscapes. Li River originates from the Cat Mountain in Xing'an County where is located at the northeast of Guilin, flows through Guilin, Yangshuo, to Gongcheng's estuary in Pingle County. Its full-length is 437 kilometers. The 84-kilometer-long section of Li River between Guilin and Yangshuo is like a green silk belt, coiling around million overlapping peaks. Li River Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo is the highlight of any tour to Guilin and Guangxi. Along the both sides of the river, Grotesque peaks float in the clear and pure water, the scenery is so beautiful. According to the different views, Li River can be roughly divided into three scenic spot: the first scenic spot is from Guilin to Cattle Gap, the second scenic spot is from Cattle Gap to Shuiluo Village, the third scenic spot is from Shuiluo Village to Yangshuo. As a poem written by Han Yu, a famous litterateur of the Tang Dynasty says: "The river is a green silk ribbon, and the hills are jade hairpins". This water way of three scenic spots is known as Li River Barry Gallery.
